The feminist movement is often described as having distinct "waves" or phases, particularly in the twentieth century. What characterizes the various waves of feminism? How has feminism shifted and evolved over time, in terms of its goals and grievances? In this seminar, Prof. Abigail Favale (George Fox) will lead us on a brief tour of feminism in America, digging down into underlying assumptions about reality, womanhood, and freedom.
