Édouard Manet and Edgar Degas were among the most significant painters of the late 19th century, their works lying on the margin between Realism and Impressionism. Throughout their careers, the two artists were sometimes friends and otherwise rivals—in either case, they remained in constant dialogue. This October, join us for a guided tour of the Manet/Degas exhibit at The Met. Works on display will include Manet's Olympia and Degas' Family Portrait (The Bellelli Family), both from the Musée d'Orsay. We will be accompanied by students from Princeton University.
