Last spring, professors and students competed to see who could use AI to complete their assignments and who could detect and prevent it. But what makes AI bots different from other study aids? Do they really pose a threat to education—or humanity—as we know it? Drawing on ancient and medieval understandings of memory, Nathaniel Peters (Morningside Institute) will lead a discussion of how our study shapes who we are and how AI might change that.
