The Seven Storey Mountain follows Thomas Merton’s journey from a childhood in France through a Columbia English major to the Trappist Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky. Join Nathaniel Peters (Morningside Institute) and David Oakley (Merton Institute) as we read Merton’s classic over break and discuss it in the first weeks of classes.

On Friday, January 26th at 2:00 PM, we will be meeting at the Merton Institute (located here) for the second session of our series. We’ll be reading and discussing up to third part of the book (page 280).
