The Hispanic Society of America, located in Washington Heights, features the largest collection of Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American art and literature in the United States. Since its founding in 1904, the museum has acquired thousands of paintings, sculptures, textiles, and books that trace the trans-Atlantic history of the Hispanic world. Highlights include a first edition copy of Don Quixote, letters from Columbus, and works by Velázquez, El Greco, and Sorolla.
On Friday, March 22nd, join us for a guided tour of the Hispanic Society of America. We will be meeting at the museum’s main entrance, located between 155th and 156th Streets on Broadway.
